My brother might buy a 2004 E500, I have questions and would appreciate help.

Hello. My brother is thinking about buying a 2004 MB E500 that has 37k miles, it is silver with grey interior. Overall, the car is a beautiful automobile. The car is at a Jaguar dealership in our area. He has driven the car and I will drive it tomorrow. We have ran a Carfax(I don't trust this fully), and it came back clean. I guess we are both a little on edge because both of us have always purchased a Mercedes from a Mercedes dealership. Tomorrow we will allow a Mercedes service specialist to look at it while out on our test drive.

Question 1:The price that they are asking is $27K (has appearance/amg pkg) and they are offering a 50,000 mile warranty (we will sit down and check the specifics of it). Is this a good deal?

Question 2: What are problems that one should look for with the 04' E500?

Question 3: The car has the AMG Monoblock 18" wheels that came on the early 2000 S-Class (AMG kit/Sport pkg.) cars. It has 18x8.5 on the front and 18x9.5 on the rear, all in Bridgestone tires. Will this be a problem since the style of wheel is from a different car? How many miles do these 18 inch tires go before the need to be replaced?
