I was just surfing E55 videos and this one popped up. I feel it is the most un-biased (C&D etc) and most accurate comparison I have seen. It has professional drivers in both cars and the end result is what we all know. The M5 will handle better (no denying the better brake and steering feel of the M5) but the E55 is the drag racer of the bunch. Torque rules (example: Buick Grand National). I was impressed with only 2 second difference in the track times though. I thought it would be greater so it just goes to show with professional drivers, an E55 can be a decent track car (yes 2 seconds is quite a few car lengths but I did think it would be more). 1/4 mile is where our cars shine. Plant your foot and that is all. I love my E55 and this video made me feel a bit better about my car. They picked the M5 at the end but it really was a draw. Do you want a car that can handles the turns like an F1 or do you want a street fighter like the E55. I think that is how you answer the question. Do I want an E55 or an M5? What do you think?
