W211 Euro COMAND - Cluster Update

I brought over my US spec E55 to the UK while I am working here. I recently upgraded the COMAND as well as the audio gateway. The new system includes a DVD based Navigation system (in the trunk) and a new Head Unit. This unit will allow playback of videos.. Cool !
My question is; How do I get the in-dash cluster to show driving directions from the navigation system? I understand that a dealer may have to do a Star online update. I would appreciate directions so that I do not get the run around by the dealer.

To get the Function in the cluster the car MUST be version coded Via the Star aka SDS
either the dealer or a decent workshop that has the sds can do it in about 10 min

The local dealer did in fact perform version coding and now the directions do appear in the cluster.
