The other night my 2003 E55 was "keyed" at Dodger stadium. There were two deep lines, down to the metal from the front headlight to the rear taillight on the driver's side. Needless to say I was sick when I discovered it. I have a friend with an auto shop in Covina Ca. He looked at it and recommended a painter friend of his. I was afraid to go to a non mercedes shop but my friend assured me this guy was the best. I just got the car back. Perfect is the only way to describe the work. He was on time and reasonable priced.
Anyone in Southern California who needs paint work I let me know.

I was wondering if your car has ceramic paint? There will be a c in front of the paint code under the hood or in the door jamb. If so, did your friend have the necessary equipment for the job?
