Waiting for the pics,... by the way it also might help if its 45 degrees outside (as it was in my case).
Just out of curiousity,.... didn't you have to drill holes in you foot brake and then screw/bolt in the cover like I did?

Nope, there was no need to drill since the pads are OEM Mercedes parts and fit over the pedals easily.
Just slip off the old rubber ones and replace with the new SL pads. Very easy to do.

RE: "04 E55 Pedal Set
Here is a small shot of my pedals. It's the only picture I have and I was taking a picture of the steering wheel.

MB's attention to detail on the E55 was about 98%. The 2% they didn't get were on small things such as not installing these AMG style pedals. (I won't even get into the Motorola V60 or the abysmal GPS Navigation system).

So true... and so sad.

RE: "04 E55 Pedal Set
I received my pedals yesterday. Thanks to JohnM for posting the link to another site with pictures and instructions on pulling the pin of the gas pedal.
Now that I have my AMG style pedals, I might be willing to say that MB is only off by 1.5% on attention to detail.

P.S. The pedals do install easily. The most time consuming part it pulling the AMG pedal of the new assembly and putting it on the existing assembly.
