Do this, go to calibermotors.com and call their service department. Ask for Tom Hanson. He'll order you the parts and give you at least 20% off the list price. If not better.
Just give him the part numbers. He is the unofficial classic parts guy for factory parts. Super nice and knowledgeable.

Norb,
I emailed Tom immediately after your post. He promptly returned my email with quotes and great tips! Thanks for the great referral. I will definitely call on Tom for any future parts for my E55.
Hey, Norb.
T-Bone at the AMG Forum directed me to the part numbers he used to install the pedal set on his W211.
They are from the SL.
At the same time, The UK MB Site directed me to a cheaper fix, using the pedal set from the SLK.
I was relaibly informed that the SLK Accelerator pedal cover will not fit the E 55, although the Brake and Parking Brake covers will.
I have ordered the set for the SL, which includes the complete SL Accelerator assembly.
Again, T Bone says it is a quick install.
They should be here tomorrow, and, if i can get them on, I will try and post some pictures.
I assume I just select "image" and follow the instructions to complete this.
Thanks,
Carl
See, only proves that we on the board know our cars better than the dealers! I'm glad it worked out for you. Yea just follow the instructions for posting pics.

Just stumbled on this topic and the UK link. Have not had time to assimilate yet, but had done prior research on the pedals. Excuse me if this is elsewhwere covered, but - I have the p/n's for the parking brake, brake and accelerator for both the round button covers as on the SLK etc. and also for the elliptical button covers as on the new SL. Previous attempts to order were frustrated by the dealer, because they did not list the accelerator pedal as an item, but only with the complete assembly for way over a hundred USD. If the SL p/n's are not elsewhere posted, let me know and I will dig them out and post. There was also a fellow on Ebay selling complete sets (round button I think) for about $70. We communicated and I can dig out his e-mail if there is interest. Best Regards.

are you saying you can order just the gas pedal pad, and not the entire assembly? if so, please post the part number as soon as possible. I just placed my order today, so hopefully I can modify the order before they mail it.
I collected the pedals yesterday, and timed how long they took to install.
It was exactly 7 minutes, with the emergency brake and footbrake covers going on with no problems or "popped" rubber inserts.
I used a pair of right angle long nose pliers to compress the pin on the accelerator assembly, and it pulled right out, then used the new pin that came with the accelerator set to reinstall after sliding the accelerator cover over the pedal.
Although it was a warm day, I think this helped as the rubbers were more pliable. An old trick is to immerse the rubber in hot, soapy, water for a couple of minutes. This increases the pliability of the rubber, and the soap content provides lubrication during installation. Also, it dries up easily, and leaves no mess.
Will post pictures later, but they look great.
