Design
The E 5.7 DTM AMG is an authentic high-performance racing car. Optically derived from the victorious racing car version of the AMG-Mercedes E 5.7 DTM 2003, the E 5.7 DTM AMG was conceived to enable an extremely sporty and dynamic driveability.
The E 5.7 DTM AMG's core is the AMG 5.7-litre V8 compressor engine with 428 kw (582 hp). It offers a husky torque of 800 Nm at 3500 rpm. AMG's SPEEDSHIFT 5-speed automatic transmission received even sportier characteristics. What is more, large parts of the car are made of components and materials originally designed for racing.
Interior and exterior attest to the competition for millimeters and milliseconds as well. This includes amongst others: AMG sports suspension, AMG high-performance braking system, 19" AMG light alloy front wheels, 20" AMG light alloy rear wheels, AMG sports exhaust with two chromed tailpipes, AMG sports bucket seats, 4-point sport seat belts as well as the AMG instrument cluster with 360 km/h scale.

I already let him drive it (he is 18) but he is a very good kid hasn't crashed anything yet ha ha) but here is a ? how would my son get some of his designs to MB?
I'm not too sure if he still works there, but try finding Jerry Juska, he used to be somewhere near the top of Mercedes marketing. Also try finding a guy called Ken Kuhbier if that doesn't work.
Every year alot of people send in designs to auto manufacturers, but nothing ever comes out of it. I know, I tried when I was a kid with Ford Europe.
Just thought I'd tell you guys that STW/DTM try to fit the most power into the smallest chassis, and they already have the CLK DTM/STW. But I know I would love to kit out my new 211 in what your kid drew as soon as it arrives. (just imagine that in real carbon Fibre on a black car)
well the best way for your kid to do it is to get an engineering degree because so many people want to get their designs noticed that the companies only look at those with formal education. Not like the old days
If your son wants to do really crazy things, tell him to go work for Brabus and build a C SV 12, that would be a rocket. you could also tell him to find a way of getting 13 inch wide rims and 345 tires under there to deal with handling. I wonder what the M3 guys would think of that....
