The V1 is reverse clipped on the outer edge of the visor.

It is connected to the concealed display unit in the ash tray compartment.

The LED below the lighter is the Lidatek laser jammer visual notification.

They're mounted below the bumper a few inches away from the front plate, behind the mesh grill.

I bought these units from a group buy two years ago at BMW M5 board and finally had a stereo installer put them on this weekend.

I believe the LE30 should be available anytime now, and there is indeed another group buy available:

The LE30 only requires one jammer unit instead of two, unlike the LE20.

Unfortunately/fortunately, I haven't tested them out against the cops yet.

R230 - any rear coverage for the Jammers ? In NY the state troopers are sitting on overpasses and hitting you from the rear, you then get pulled over by his buddy up the road.

While I actually have an extra jammer unit sitting around, most manufacturers say rear coverage is not needed so I have left it alone.

Just get those transparent plastic things that you put over your plates. When they try to photograph your LP, it just glares. Considering that this only costs maybe 10 bucks, I'd say its worth it.

Yes, worth doing if I'm in a photo radar legal state but I'm not. The question at stake was whether rear laser jammer is useful? I kind of doubt it.

If you have the strips you don't need the rear jammer, but if you have it go ahead and install it, you can never be too safe.

Agree about the never too safe part. Except I worry if I mount an obvious laser jammer in the rear, I may attract unwanted attention.
