Just received the rocket today ! Whoa ! What a ride and magnificent handling. Thought I was in love with my E500 but this sled is for real ! Silver/with charcoal interior, loaded up and ready to roar..Only 60 miles on the clock, will be a while before I can really feel the G forces !

No doubt, its the best Benz I have ever driven and I have had a few over the years. This ride is better than my SL600, its smooth, fast and lots of toys. Would not let it go ! 0-60 in 4.2secs, hard to compete with that for any price. Good luck with your decision, my vote, get one quickly :)

those are Viper numbers, geez I thought it did around 4.5 or 4.8 which is still FAST!!!! . A couple more ponies like a K&N filter or or computer chip (renntech) could put it in the 4.0s or less [:D] Its amazing the BMWs are taking out a 500Hp 5 Series I hope MB takes out a better one [:)]
I'm looking at purchasing one also, but a little concerned about the driveability of the car with all of the electronic assists. Most of the published reviews criticize the braking, and to a lesser extent the steering and suspension. Now that you've had yours for a while, what are your impressions?

Got 1600 miles on the clock and the drive is fantastic. Certainly took a bit to get aquainted with the braking system but no problems. The suspension is outstanding. Overall, best Benz I have ever driven or owned. My advice, get one quick ! Heard the '04 model will finally have the Nav system..Good luck !
