Do the mirrors fold?

I cannot fold my external mirrors. When I try to force them back they flex back but to a point then there is so much resistance I am afraid to brake the thing off if I push any harder.

Anyone?

Thanks

Folding Mirrors

I believe the mirrors fold in and flex back. My salesman showed me how they fold, but it was on a clk not an e. I honestly have not tried it on my e, but he did say they fold in

Folding mirrors

The mirror adjustment is located on the drivers door, and the button nearest the dash folds the mirrors back in.

What button Mark? I have mirror adjustment buttons and thats it? Does anyone have buttons that fold mirrors (American E500)? That would make sense though.

I can't see any button either. I can move my mirrors about 1" easily then feel resistance and am worried about going further. Nothing in manual that I could find.

No they do not fold in...

Unlike the European or Asian-spec E-classes (presumably since we don't have the narrow roads here), our E's and C's do not come with the power folding mirrors. Only the N.American-spec S-class and CL-class (and ML) have power folding mirrors.

Don't try to force them in or they will break and be expensive to fix.

The most common use for folding mirrors here in the UK is in the car park - to allow people to walk between the cars without hitting the mirrors - I expect our spaces our narrower than the US.

I also use them in the car wash as it allows the driers to get closer to the bodywork
