Fuel consumption

In NYC metro area I get 10-12 miles per galon on my 500. But driving was bad - a lot of stops and goes and I tend to push it after it turns green.

We all have the MPG in statistics mode...who gets better milage?

I'm getting about 17.8. 19 or so when its mostly freeway - 21 on very long trips that are almost all freeway.

And 12-14 sounds about right in traffic and very low average speeds.

With only 650 miles on our E500, we are getting about 15 miles per gallon mostly city driving always with air conditioning on.

I get 33mpg on my daily 12 mile commute. 45 mpg if the car's warm.

But then I have the 270 cdi - having just returned from NYC i get the impression you guys don't have too many diesels - but then your fuel is not nearly $6 gallon.

Oh, and to see the take off at the lights in NYC - its no wonder you only get 12 !!!!
