On my 2003 W203 when I take the key out the steering wheel goes up and the seat goes back.
Also the remote key remembers which seat position. So my key unlocks the car and moves the seat to my position, my wife's key puts the seat to her position.
On this E280 only the wheel goes up, is this an option somewhere ? I am very technical, so can do most things.
There is a video that suggests this can be done but I can't see what he is doing, or the options on my car ?
I can't believe an older C Class is better than a newer E Class ??
I wish my MB's would remember keys like this. I had that in both Audi's, but not in these cars though it looks like I need to buy more features.
Skippy
No joy in my case. The '08 ML doesn't have a Convenience menu. It does have a Vehicle menu and the Easy Entry choices are On/Off.
The '07 E has a Convenience menu, but the same choice for Easy Entry.
Durn.
Convenience entry is an option from what I see so it might be possible that older C did have it, while newer E doesn't have to.
I think for seat and steering wheel to work you need to memorize it on seat module with your key.
Than manuals are easy available on MB USA.
On my W212 I went to page 333 and the gate opener still won't program
My gate opener has old add-on radio receiver, the same that was common on garage door openers 20+ years ago. I spend more than 1/2 hr reading all the tricks in manual and come to the conclusion that it has to have wrong frequency for MB.
The universal remote from Home Depot took the code just fine, but those remotes are not cheap and I hate to loose convenience of using MB integrated buttons.
So for $13 I bought whole new receiver with 2 remotes (and screwdriver) that works with MB-supported frequency. Amazon delivers in 2 days. Will post update. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MU2NFLD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
No developer needed, not sure what year MB removed the option (or should i say disable the seat from the option), i turned it on on my 2009 e class the only difference is that normally you can pic by having it off, steering wheel only or steering wheel and seat on the cluster, i can only have them both on or off.
Anyone using C3 star system to enabled this feature? or anyone know if C3 can to do this.
Thanks,
