I know I wasn't suppose to wash the engine but I thought i was very careful to avoid the electrical. Two days after the wash check engine light came on the E500 and the code was P0410. Is it possible the wash was the culprit here and how do I find out where is the problem and how can I fix it?
THANK YOU
The air pump is under the cover you removed. You should be able to hear if it works when you start the cold car (kind of high pitched noise which goes away within about 2 minutes). If the air pump works then check for vacuum lines connected to it and the two valves on both sides of the engine. If the air pump does not work check the fuse first.
