Motor Mounts Problem? - Shaking at Idle - Ticking/Clicking Noise Accelerating

i have symptoms on my w211 e500 sport. just purchased 2 days ago. and im wondering if the actual issue for me is also the motor mounts?
how can I be sure other than to take to stealership? what is the cost I'm looking at in Canada at the dealership? anyone know of any certified benz repair shops in Toronto, canada? or around?


symptoms:

*slight shake at idle rpms in Drive. or being in neutral.
that ticking or clicking noise when you accelerate at low rpms. goes away as you enter higher gears/ increase speed.
**I also noticed at idle my engine has a very very slight shake. i can feel it inside the car, just barely. doesn't seem to shake further if i revv. enough to be noticeable but not enough to bother me as my 05 nissan maxima also did this. but didn't expect it from benz with lower mileage.......
***also parking and shutting the car off, there is a constant clicking / ticking noise that comes from the front of car for a while after the car has been shut off. this is the first i am noticing this noise... normal?

those of you who have been through the engine mount issue, did you have these symptoms or different ones?

I haven't much played with the car the way it deserved to be played with due to the noises im hearing.... haven't even floored it yet!
dont even know if can i drive the car with these symptoms for a short while? i have 83,500 miles on the dash. no accidents on it.

Yep, motor mounts, along with the tranny mount... 2 motor mounts 1 tranny mount. I guess the tranny mount is so easy, that your grandma could do it with 1 hand... but you have to be able to get the car up first.... I'm not sure about how difficult the motor mounts are to do... someone else probably does

yeah I'm praying someone with the knowledge can share with me! I do not have the money right now to afford the fix via dealership...
itching to get it fixed though because I'm afraid of driving the car with this issue present.

I Own a 2005 Benz E500 4Matic 7speed...Just wondering does a Motor Mount & Engine mount would cause my car's Transmission to slip has I go through the first gear,second,third & up?by the way my Rpm also goes all the way up driving pretty bad on limp mode with a funny noise coming from the front of the engine/car? Your response would be greatly appreciated?

Note that: Yesterday I took my car to a shop & I was told my Transmission is messed up I need to replace it or rebuild it? After reading some posts on this forum I'm not really convinced I need anew tranny? I did not know the 05 4matics came with the 7g trans. All North American ones were 5 speed.
That being said with either one the engine mounts would cause transmission slip.
The code could be several things, none of them calling for a new trans.

Here's from WIS if it is the trans and it is taken from a 5 speed reference.
Complaint:
Target gear is not reached, transmission in mechanical/hydraulic limp-home mode

Fault code:

055 I5I P0 730

Possible cause / Remedy

•Oil filter not assembled / Assemble oil filter
•Wiring harness damaged, short-circuit, chafing mark / Check wiring harness to ground.
•Shift pressure control solenoid valve (Y3/6y2) blocked (foreign matter) / Replace solenoid valve.
•Control, shift or command valve blocked (foreign matter) / Check slide valve for end position and ease of movement, free off if necessary.

•The spring in the control spool pressure regulating valve may be broken / Replace spring (part no.140 993 58 01).

it could just be the fluid that's leaking into the transmission. was it jerking at low rpm's before? and slowly got worse? until this happened im guessing? if yes, then the issue u r having is tied to your radiator! the w211 e-class is known to have this issue. sucks to be a benz owner if you buy a certain year.. kinda f*ed up - benz wont do shit about it

No there's no fluid leaking in tranny....Now a question for you? Are this not the same issues your were having with your similar vehicle 2005 Benz E500 4matic 7speed? by the way How can I check to see if the radiator is good?Any advice?by the way my MB wis a U.S model...thanks
