I had my e500 serviced today, and as soon as I drove away I noticed that every time I press the brake pedal I get a swish sound from under the car. Its only a split second sound, but happens every push of the pedal. This never did this before being in the shop. Any idea's?

Don't know what might make the sound but since it is the brakes/safety system I would look at it myself or take it back for inspection
I have a 2006 E320 CDI and it does the same thing. My wifes 09 SL550, also with SBC brakes, does it every once in a while. I think it is normal with this type braking system.

Have them revisit – check for fault codes if none are found, request they perform SDS air release routine.
i have a similar issue/problem if the car is standing on a hill or if i press the brakes while the car is moving a little fast i hear a sound coming from under the car its as if the brakes are trying to stop the car but the wheels are not stopping and that cause the sounds...
there is a TSB "P-B-42.46/43a Squeaking Noise When Gently Applying Brake". Basically, there is air trapped in the SBC unit. I did a brake fluid flush with Motive bleeder like everybody here. I sucked out old fluid and never passed the MIN mark. I don't know how air got inside the SBC pump.
