Bulb burnt out? Have you checked to make sure the bulb contacts are getting power
when the lights are turned on using a test light or multimeter? If so then the bulb is dead.
Just pop a new one in.
If there is no power then it has to be a wiring fault or a problem with the socket.
Start with the easy stuff to check and move up the list if it not the bulb.

I have the same problem... burn out ashtray bulb.
Any help on how to remove the lamp is highly appreciated.
I have already disconnected the ashtray itself but couldn't find a way to remove the lamp from the lighter connection...
