The P2001 is for the EGR system which is tested once per drive cycle. If there's still a problem, you'll get the CEL after the second drive cycle (first drive cycle will store a pending code). Good luck.

paul..

Transmission is not controlled by the SBC control unit. I do not remember these codes by heart but if paulv says one thing, why do you seem to ignore that and refer to some other info somewhere else? I would be very surprised if his advice had mistakes, even accidentally.

I also have it.

So, I've been having the P2001 NOx trap below efficiency code being thrown on my 2008 Bluetec, along with a P0101 (MAF circuit out of function range). I took out the EGR, cleaned the hell out of it, put it back. Also cleaned the MAF (which was replaced last year, and initially had a P0101, but the indy didn't realize he had to re-map the airflows...). I didn't seem to have the P0101 before the P2001 popped up, so I think it could be related. Performance-wise, it seems ok off the line (if not slightly sluggish), downshifts definitely sluggish), overall slower than it's normal tuned self (German tuner box). So, that all being said, what would be the next step? Attempt to replace the EGR valve altogether, or go down a different road. I'm almost to the "drop it off at the indy stage".
