Troubleshooting: Engine vibration

hi all

i need help.

i was in my dad e500 at a set of lights when i planted the accelerator.
the car broke traction and chirped before the esp kicked in.
immediately after the car started experiencing loud engine vibration from idle thru to 2000rpm.

this happens when in gear or in neutral.

i'm concerned i might have broken something on the car.

i haven't told my dad it was me.

he's had a look and thinks it's a hole in the muffler yet the car does not sound any louder than normal.

would a hole in the muffler cause vibrations i described?

or is the likely culprit destroyed engine mounts??

Could be a lot of things. Depending on the age/mileage of the car the engine mounts or transmission mounts could be the culprit.

I already told your dad.

Well, if a kid is seen in your town buying lots of rope and/or sleeping pills, we'll know it's you.
