Unhappy Problems with 7g tronic gearbox on a 2006 E350

Hi everyone, My mercedes benz e-350 has intermittently experienced problems with its 7-speed transmission. the transmission locks up in a high gear and will not shift either automatically or manually. the only way to clear the problem is to turn off the engine and restart. twice in the last week

anybody can tell me what can i do?? or what part is generation the malfunction.

You do not have a hope in hell of fixing this problem without reading the fault codes, do you have a code reader? If not take it to a dealer and ask for the codes to be read out and a copy of them then post the codes here and maybe we can help you better.

Post Problems with 7g-tronic

Thank's Eric, I'll take my car to the dealer or an authorized repair center to scan the fault codes, but really i'm very scared about the repair, my car has only 33000 Km, and in my country there is a very big problems with imported car parts, this surely gonna cost me some money! have a nice day!

same thing happened to me mechanic replaced valve body and had it reprogrammed

He replaced the valve body and control unit in your case and it is not simple programming but SCN Coding which takes some time and the the car would be road tested with DAS attached to the ZGW and adaptations would then be carried out.
