Heeey yall- I'd love to hear your opinions on which rims I should get. I really hate standard rims and i think it ruins the look of my black beauty... summer is finally here (for me) and I really want to get new rims!
Searching for rims that are not too blingy blingy... or that are too much for a 20 years old girl like me. I want chrome rims... I like black rims too but i think its too much... like too much of black. black car black rims, ya know?
I like 5 stokes rims... but i cant find the ones that i like... i dont like rims that have many stokes like "spidey" ones.
so please help me out!! do you guys have any suggestions??? (pictures of rims or pictures of your car... would be so great!)
Those are my current rims..I was going to update to 20's but am getting rid of the car pretty soon.
If I were going to keep it and add 20's..I would like the black on black look(with either chrome lips or white lips). Kind of discrete but still looks bad. Chrome is played out to me and I like to stick out with unique rims though
Below you will see a link to a post from a guy that is selling his 18" 5 spoke AMG wheels with brand new tires. I personally LOVE these wheels (got the same ones on my car )
Hi, Ash. I generally avoid chrome on the MB, but on black, white and red it really pops and looks good...depending on the wheel, of course.
First things first, though. Are there any other 211 wheels you like? The E500 wheels from your generation are pretty slick, but seen on the car as well. I think the appearance wheels from the 211 are about the ugliest things I've seen on a benz, though. There are some nice AMG variants, too.
If there are no other benz wheels you like, then IMHO it is important to work with a trusted vendor who will make sure you are happy and will sell you quality wheels. (Among other things that means avoiding ebay...)
It is also popular to upsize the wheels, but you will sacrifice a bit of ride quality for each size you go up. So long as you don't go beyond 18" wheels you will probably find the ride acceptable, and if you like handling the reduced sidewall height will result in more crisp response when you turn the wheel.
With those things in mind, I'd humbly suggest you cruise over to tirerack.com. Even if you don't buy there, you'll find brands you can trust and have an idea of what they cost. Plus it has a great configuration tool where you can view the different wheels on your car in your car's color. Even if you don't find something you like in their selection, you'll at least have eliminated some from contention.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

I just ran an affordable 18 at Tire Rack just so you could see the configuration thing. These are on sale for $170 each, so quite affordable. There are lots of others, this was just a quick shot of an affordable option.

Hiii Greg- Thanks!!
1) I've always wanted chrome rims... and I thought I was gonna get a Lexus but my parents surprised me with a MB... which really changed my mind about chrome rims... like I want to keep my MB classy as possible without turning it in a blingy blingy car!
2) Yes, there are 2 (I think they are MB wheels?) i like...
and
im leaning more toward the first ones because ive always liked "5 stokes"... but after seeing the rims with many stokes, its not that bad.
3) what are the apperance wheels? what do they look like?
and to reply to the person above me, thanks for helping me out. i m really liking the 5 stokes and i think im gonna go with silver painted rims... to be SAFE... thanks!
Ok everyone- what do you think? first picture or second picture??
