*MODS* | 2009 E350 4MATIC AMG

By popular demand I am going to use this post to update you on all of my mods as they develop.

Here's the plan:

-AMG rear trunk spoiler (1 piece, E63)
-HID conversion kit (errors are a big issue with the 2009's in particular, Ill let you know how it goes)
-Chrome seat adjust covers (pretty cool, ill take pics)
-Chrome A/C control and front vents covers (also pretty cool)
-AMG illunimated door sills on all 4 doors
-Chrome door lock pins
-Debaging rear except mercedes trunk symbol
-AMG chrome license plate
-AMG pedals / e brake / dead pedal

Next up:
Interior lighting makeover to compliment the AMG illuminated door sills. Im thinking a crisp white, maybe a touch of blue. The ambient overhead light will look great like that. The foot areas in the front and back also need to look crispier. The stock lights look yellow compared to most modern lights.

I've decided to hold off on the red brake calipers (although i think it will look great- I even bought the "AMG" brake decals in white) and also the CL style grille / hood ornament. Im going to wait a few months until I get bored with the current setup and need a change.

I've gotten most of the parts and they are being prepped for installation. My car is getting dropped off on Monday for everything to get installed.

I did get the chrome A/C control and front vent covers which many of you have been emailing me about. I've attached pics of the piece in place, but not permanently affixed. To be honest, Im afraid it looks cheap and cheezy but havent decided yet. The fit on the center piece is not precise as shown below, which is a big issue for me. Its not terrible, but not perfect and mildly noticeable.

Thoughts?

Not feeling the chrome bits personally. IMO they look cheesy and they don't seem to fit well, as the gaps and non-lining-up are pretty noticable.

I get where you're going with this though, and it's a good idea, changing up the interior bits, but I personally don't think those pieces suit the car. Maybe brushed aluminum with a better fit?

2009's come with an an entirely new COMAND system, not the "Commadore 64" version in all previous models. Truth is both nav's suck. Have you ever used the nav on a Lexus? Its night and day. MB has some of the worst nav out there. However as my dealer says...thats great, the only problem is the lexus nav comes with a lexus wrapped around it.

I agree, not feeling them myself, good thing i never stuck them on. Is there a site you can direct me to that might have some other similar interior upgrade options?

Yeah I don't know of any sites off-hand, but I'd try E-Bay or Google, etc.
