CPS location on 03' E500

need to swap it tomorrow or monday... and would like to know where it is located and how to take off the engine cover... any advice would be very much appreciated. thank you.

Do you mean the crankshaft or the camshaft position sensor? Both appear at the figure from the link:

This helps if one cannot click a link. But are you sure your EPC licence allows you to post the info? I'm not trying to be a police, just for yourself to consider (useful for others at the forum but a bit risky for the one posting). Also unnecessary for US car owners who can access EPC for free.
