I had just bough an E-240 2004 model and i had got a weird problem in it , which is that the computer screen show me some weird Letters Like "S" or "SE" or "N" or "NE" which I have no idea what is the deal with them and the car keeps alerting every minute , and some functions blink for a once every 5 or 6 minutes like the "SRS on Red" and it show me these messages "Display faulty visit workshop" and "
The car is good and am having to technical or mechanical issues in , but this weird thing is annoying me , so any body is having any idea about this problem and why it came up and what is the solution of it and how it cost for fixing ?
Note:-
I had noticed that this problem is coming mostly when the weather out side is very hot
I had attached some pics for more information
I hope this isw not a major problem cause thats will make me SAAAAAAAD :-(

S, NE, SE seems like a bearing from a compass maybe? Since you have 2 malfunctions, why not using a OBD-2 interface to read the errors out or going to a dealer/mechanic and ask for a diagnostic?

Do you have any other issues with the instrument cluster, like speed limiter segments coming on at times, turn signal not always coming on, you already mentioned the SRS warning (I assume no other SRS malfunction appearing)?
This sounds like a HW fault at the cluster and it needs to be replaced. Your mileage is really low but I assume by age the car is out of warranty, MB might still at least give some good will discount for the IC.
Edited: I read the mileage from the trip meter, the mileage isn't as low as I first thought.

OBD-2 interfaces are plugged into the OBD connector which is a trapezoidal shaped. It is usually black and under the steering wheel console to find. OBD stands for On Board Diagnostic and with the right interface (I'm actually selling an OBD-2 interface which I developed myself over the last 2 years) you can read out the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) in plain text rather than the cryptic alphanumerical codes and therefor, determine what's wrong with your car.
HW (hardware) fault he probably means your display or the controller might be bad.
Where is your location? Nice grill. 39C and kilometers would inidcate East or Africa?
OBDII scanners in US start at $39 while the good one with code explanation cost 79.
Than by scrolling the display the car should give you at least general code description.
The key icon likely means that you had key in the ignition while taking the picture, but having display taken by other messages, the appropriate message was pushed back. Was the car beeping at the time?
am living in Dubai-UAE , and yeah the car is beeping all the time , today i get a new msg "SRS Restrain Defective System" . does it mean that the SRS will not work in accidents ?
