That looks really cool. Which year is that front fascia from? Looks like e63. I do like the e63 rims. My CDI is wearing the old e55 shoes.

You Europeans get so many cool non-US options (And no ugly side markers to boot!). I'm so jealous.

You might be talking about different gallons though. Leaves enough difference still.

The 40mpg he quoted is roughly equal to 33mpg US.
Canada & UK use the "Imperial gallon" which is 20% larger than US gallon.
Imperial gallon is approx 4.5 litres
US gallon is approx 3.78 litres

Not sure if poster did some sort of conversion beforehand to arrive at 40mpg??

I thought UK was also strictly litre-only now (like Canada), hence my guess "eddy chunk" did a conversion of sorts to arrive at 40mpg.
BTW,eddy chunk,great looking car

The UK is still using the imperial system. In Ireland we have changed to metric . The biggest problem with running a bigger engined car for people in Ireland is road tax , unti this year our top tax band for cars over 3000 cc was 1491 euro , it has now changed and is based on emissions with a top rate band of 2000 euro per year ! I think that the Uk is still £200 a year
