Manual for E400CDI

Hi guys,
my dad just bought an E400CDI and I was wondering whether I can download the manual for it in pdf or view it online somewhere. Searches didnt take me to where I wanted hence the thread. Apparently the mechanic is telling him he needs a G service as it has done 80000 kms. Can anyone assist please?

thanks heaps
Anthony

The service requirement suppose to show on the cluster display.
You have the engine that is unknown in USA. When I got my E320cdi with no manual, I registered on my MBUSA account and they allowed me to downolad manual from their site. They just redid the new script and have lot of glitches, but it worked for me.
I wonder if MB Australia has similar option.

yeah it says G service required....but what exactly does that include? Hence why I need the manual to make sense of it.

I dont see anywhere in AU where you can get the manual downloaded... hmmm must keep looking I guess.

The user manual would not explain details of different service tasks. You would need the workshop documents, the service sheet explains tasks partly too.

User manuals are probably only downloadable from MBUSA but that service is limited to US car owners. I'm not sure if Canada has something similar.

That info would be in maintenance booklet. I was able to access maintenance booklet on line, but right now after redoing the MBUSA site it is not available. I made a complain about all the glitches they have and service representative promised to contact software specialist about it. That was a week ago. I give her couple more days and call again. Will post if I will be able to get digital manuals. On the other hand I think spending money on paper manual might be good investment.
Seems that all spare keys and manual stolen at the auctions end on ebay. I contacted PO of my car and he said everything was in the car when he traded it in.

What few kicks into the keyboard can do
I have service booklet for my car, what in US is having different codes like "US service 1 to 14". You will have to translate it on Australian
I can email you my copy of manual and service booklet, what with exception of the engine suppose to be the same?

Unfortunately the PDF files will not allow me to copy text here.
Than DB looks like the most knowledgeable person in this section. Do you know if FSS can be owner reset? In older manuals they gave sequence, but on this model they advise visit to service center.

FSS can still be reset by the owner. There are minor changes between model years but these were described on an old post at this forum. One can likely find it when searching for "FSS reset" or something similar.

I'm not sure if legislation has changed or is there some other reason when the service indication reset was previously also on Euro owner's manuals but not any more (at least not on my manual).
