AirMatic Suspension Problems/Questions

I have recently encountered problems with my AirMatic suspension, specifically regarding corrosion on the canisters near the hose connections. Are problems with the AirMatic frequent? If so, what are some of the specific difficulties? Has M-B offered any assistance to owners: hidden warranties, warranty extensions, etc.? Given the fact that the canisters are aluminum and the hoses are reinforced, could corrosion stem from dissimilar metals in contact?

I have not seen this complaint before. I actually cannot follow which canister you are referring to, can you be more specific and/or post photos? The issues have mainly been on the struts, mostly on early 2003 cars. A few compressors issues and perhaps the noise from the compressor that is more of the attachment construction issue.
