Changing the front right turn signal bulb on an '03 E500

I changed my front right turn signal bulb by myself. It was fairly easy. Now I just can't get it to work and the same message pops up everytime I turn right. I know the bulb works. I bought two and tried them both. Am I missing something?

If you are sure you have the right bulb and are putting it in properly the bulb is not the problem. What error message are you getting and does it only appear when you use the right turn signal? My first thoughts are a bad socket or a loose (wire) connection.
