Ex S500 owner just picked up '06 E350 AMG Sport, any words of wisdom? - Benzworld.org

Hey all, I sold my S500 and just picked up this E350. I was adamant about getting one with the AMG Sport package, and wasn't too crazy about Pewter to begin with, but it's definitely grown on me quickly. I love the car and it actually does feel like an overall better and more solid car than my S. Also it has the Dynamic Seats and the seats are the MOST comfortable I have ever sat in. It has 31K Miles, CPO'd and I purchased the extra 2 years Warranty from M-B (it said it was $2,999, but I got it for $1,500 approx). They're gonna do a couple things to it at the Dealer this week (fix a pretty solid scratch or two,
or repaint the Door if I don't like the turnout) put back rear Emblem, etc.), and the Tranny is acting a bit funny all of a sudden, like it feels kind of like it slips (but I don't think it's a slip), then catches, or delays and makes a little clunk, is this normal?

Anyway, I'm gonna do some Limo Tints and either get 07+ Tail lights (where could I find those), or more possibly smoke the tail lights of mine, but mostly keep it OG. Any pointers for these cars, or good cheap easy mods you'd recommend?

Nice E with plenty of MB warranty protection. Expect significantly better mileage than the 500.

So,, what MPG does the AMG get.. Maybe I'll trade my E500 so I can save some gas $$.

Thanks, yeah the Warranty is a beautiful thing for piece of mind along with the wallet if things start going wrong.

Mine is a 350 so it has the V6 and today on the same highway I clocked in 28 MPG with my S500 (which was still climbing to 29 which is damn impressive), I was able to reach almost 32MPG out of this car, not sure how high it would have gotten maximum though. Looks like my average driving so far is netting me about 5 MPG's+ better, the City is where the biggest margin comes in.

Thanks!! Yeah I thiink that was it, I almost wanna say 5% in the back....It was the darkest of the kind of Tint I got, then I got one step lighter in the front. But I do know I chose the darker-bluer style of 3mm Tint as I liked it better and it actually appeared darker, the actual darkest was the charcoal-y colored one that might have been 5% now that I think of it, but I wasn't feelin' the more green-y hue it had to it....Also ironically it didn't appear as dark although it blocked more light and kept away more heat.

Looks good. Hopefully the cops will leave you alone since you went a shade lighter on the 2 front windows.

Thanks again man. Yeah I really hope so. I've had Limo Tints on all my Cars, but I'm really paranoid with this one since I've got the Tails too, and since I love the look so much I don't want to have to sacrifice it or waste $$ on re-doing it.

The thing is I doubt they'd give me a break since although the fronts are a shade lighter, they're still waay dark, I'm thinking I might have just went with the darkest in the front as well since if I were to get busted I'd probably get busted for either.
