What all is necesarry to connect my 03 E320 to my bluetooth razr?

i see the a black cap in the rear of the box, held down by what looks like 2 torx screws... is that the one i have to pop off?

There are 2 pretty thick coiled cables coming out the bottom of the top portion of the armrest. im not sure if those are for the 2 teleaid buttons, or if they are part of the prewiring for the cell phone.

Is there any option code for the prewiring that i can look up from my VIN?

VIN would tell everything. You mentioned "soon to have Euro Comand in the car", I think you should check from experts if you actually need to put in a Euro phone kit and BT puck too.

do you know what code i have to look for? i have a print out of all my option codes but dont know where to start.

as far as the experts go, their advice comes with a hefty price tag... that's why im trying to piece this together from parts on ebay... i just dont know exactly which ones to look for.

If your car is equipped with a complete car kit, it must be a pre-MHI kit, was it post #6 that covered this.

Do you only have a list of option codes but no text? Run your VIN on a decoder and you should get the read-out. I'm guessing 3xx something for the kit/prewiring.

Considering experts, this forum has better experts than those you can buy (some are on both sides), a different thing if they want to spend their time for an answer. Try to be as specific as possible so that they don't feel there is a risk of wasted time for an answer. You could also ask from MBENZNL.COM Online Shop, your European parts connection ... home of the COMAND retrofit what would fit to your Euro Comand, at least if you were to buy the parts from them.

The installation bulletins from Paul might help you recognizing the cables you see on your car.
