Who knows?? You will need to step thru the FSS and see which service items are due.
Here's some reading material which will help you determine what needs to be done. At this point, all that anyone can tell you is the job is approx 4 hrs to complete.

paul....
P.S. Don't experiment with FSS because you'll mess it up -- just look at the service items.
4 hours at 120 an hour, leaves alot in parts. How many miles does the vehicle have on it? If you ever question the dealer, seek out an Indy that specializes in MB and get a second opinion.
Dealer told me a year ago I needed a timing chain for my S500, quoted 745.00. Actual problem was a worn idler .. they make mistakes.

It seems that the "attitude and runaround answer" is what angers most people on these forums. With all the problems these cars are having, many dealers are not helping the MB image.

Do you own a volt-ohm-ampmeter? If you don't go out and buy one -- there fairly cheap (Sears or Radio Shack) and can help troubleshoot electrical problems in the car and home.
Check to see if you're getting 12 volts from the center of the cigar lighter housing. Then check for ground continuity on the lighter housing shell.

I had a problem between here and Louisville and took the car to Tafel Motors. I was satisfied with their service department. I have also heard good things from a guy on here about James Motors in Lexington.
Overall though, I think your best chance of being treated right, is to take your car back to the dealer where you bought it.
Good luck,
M
