Hi i currently have a 2002 C240 and i am about to buy a 2003 E500 for a $29,000 with 41k miles. I just wanted to know is there anything that i need to know about the car? When i bought my C240 i had so many electrical problems and little glitches hear and there that the dealer had to fix. So i just wanted to know does the 2003 E500 have glitches that MB has not worked out for that year? And whats the average price for FSS A & B? I just dont want to go back and forth to the dealer because its a hassel and the warranty is almost up. Please give me some input before i make my purchase.
There was a recall from MB sent a few months ago for 2003 E 500 models regarding the BRAKE system. Please check on this or mention to your car dealer. When I got the letter ... drove to local MB dealer and had it taken cared of right away ... car is under warranty ... no hassles! No big deal ... just want to let you know. I'm very happy with my E 500... has not given my any major problems ... excellent family car! You may want to add Power Chip though ... look it up!
