Hi everyone, I am planning to buy a new W211 now. Do you know when the facelift is due???Your text here
Above are the choices I selected. Please let me know if you have any comment or suggestion in what I should or should not get.
I kind of want AMG Sports Package with sports bumpers. I want the blue tinted glasses. Are those glasses only available for sports package? But I don't want 18" rims as I can't stand the tire noise. Xenon, and Navi are a must.
Lately, I have been hearing the E going much lower than MSRP across North America. Invoice on base model suggest 47,321. How much do you think I could get it for (Before license and registration or After license and registration-out the door price)? How low should I start my negotiation with?
I appreciate any comment or suggestion. Thanks.. Gosh, I can't wait.

I just picked up my E350 two days ago…I’m in OC and talked to all the usual dealers…my recommendation to save yourself some time, trouble and money would be to call John Mendoza in Fleet/Internet sales at MB of Laguna Niguel. He will cut straight to the chase in terms of pricing and financing….no BS no need to haggle just the straight deal.
Money back and finance numbers change month to month…and I bought my car in August…I paid well below Invoice (yes invoice not MSRP)…don’t know if that same deal is available this month…but point being whatever the “deal is this month…John will give it to you.
Tell John…tell John you got his name from Chris (the Chris that is Pat’s friend)…he’ll know who I am and will take care of you
Thanks Chris. I called and they said they have two John (Mandosa and McKanne) or something like that. They don't have the exact package or option. And the whole CA or somewhere that they could get a hold off, don't have them either.[V]
I shouldn't order one right? If I order it, it'll take til the end of the year and the deals may be off.
I just helped my father-in-law on his purchase. Although his trade in 99E300TD did not bring in what we had hoped, the dealer did deal. The premium package has changed for 06, it is a thousand less and does not include the dynamnic seats. It has the fancy radio, 6 disc cd change plus one in the dash, heated seats, 17" wheels, nav. and power rear sun shade for 2900.00. No one in MA or RI had an E350 on the lot with xenons for some reason. We requested Michelins vs. Contis. They give $1500.00 off for financing. Basically, they sold the car for $50k less the trade in. It would have been the same price without the trde-in, about 4500.00 off sticker
I beleive I read the facelift is due in Q2 or Q3 of 2006, but that is not reliable. Yes, many have bought cars below invoice, but that is when the manufacturer is offering dealer rebates (not now) and other incentives like MB financing. You must also consider that when the revised E350 comes out, you will not be able to negotiate as large a discount as you would on the existing model, delending on two factors; 1) what time of year you buy and 2) whether you order a customer car or buy one out of exisitng inventory. For example, a friend of mine bought an E320 just when the E350 came out and got $7,750 off sticker, out of existing inventory. I bought my E500 out of inventory, not ordered, and got about $6,000 of sticker. I did the MB financing to get the $1500 disciunt, then just paid it off after two months with no fees. Since you are now looking at 2006 models, and those have not been out long, now is NOT the best time to buy. I would suggest holding out until the week before Jan 1, 2006, around December 28-31, and then making deal as MB salesmen will then want to earn their end of year bonus and will do almost anything to move cars. Ask them to look for a car with the options you want and chances are, they can locate one very close to, if not exactly what you want. With respect to options, that is very personal, but I would suggest you consider the keyless go and the iPOD option. Blue tinted glass comes with appearance package. Hope that helps.

Thank you very much Sir. I really apprecaite your advice. The dealer I have been talking to tells me to order one or give up both parktronic and trunk closer.
I am always concerned about facelift or remodeling. Every time I buy a car, I do research and still, it changes. W140 in 1997, I thought with the previous model that ran for 10 years, I'd have at least 3 more years. W208 that started selling in U.S. in 1998, changed in 2003 within 5 years. I always end up with the second best technology and design.
So, 2006 Q2 or Q3, huh. It's probably why they are offering low deals now to get rid of inventory. It's a dilema and I don't know what to do now.
Yep, IPod would definately be nice. Thank you, but I don't see it on MBUSA website. I should look into that.
You know I don’t think its some “special time right now…for purchases….before buying my first E60 (BMW 5) about two years ago I shopped the E320…and it was the same deal back then…about $2k under invoice.
MBZ (as long as they are not some special model AMG etc…) can always be had (with proper shopping) for roughly $500-$1000 over invoice…and at that point its just a matter of trying to get your hands on any “trunk money (manufacturer to dealer) to further reduce your price…this month there is $2000 trunk money on the 2006 E350 and 2005 E500 finance for those that go through MBZ finance. And in addition there is another $5000 on 2005 E500 regardless of whether you go through MBZ finance or not

Mercedes is technologically innovative, but I doubt the differences between facelifted models are enough to worry about.
Actually, 2006 may be the last year for the inline 6 turbo-diesel before they switch to the new V6. Some would prefer the older version for its smoothness and time tested reliability to the new engine, which will improve in power and efficiency.
It sounds like the dilemna a computer buyer goes through. I would just get the vehicle and not worry - Mercedes styling is timeless!
