Connecting iPod in 2004 E500 thru AUX

Is there a way to run an iPod through the AUX connection in the glove box? If so, any ideas on where to get the connector needed for this? I've gone in circles looking for it with no luck. I've tried Apple.com and many calls into MB.

Longs Drugs
Rite Aid
Target

They can provide a cable... you can search here for more information.

Radio Shack has a 4 or 5 foot cable with mini-stereo to mini-stereo male connectors on both ends. This is what I use to connect my iPod to the AUX jack in my glove box. Works like a charm.

Not all W211s have them. If there is the 6 disc changer option installed it is fed to the
COMAND on the same line in so no Aux port. At least on on 05 model.

Must have changed by 07 - ours has the 6 disc changer and the Aux port.

I have an '04 with COMMAND, HK, 6-changer in the pop-up dash and the AUX connector in the glove box. I use the AUX with my iPod all the time. Maybe '05 was a odd year that removed a lot of the toys for cost savings....

Thanks for posting the picture! I found it because of the picture and cannot believe that I missed it when looking before.

So, yes, on my '04 E500 4Matic with the HK system and 6-disc changer below the Command system, it is on the roof of the glove box.
