Popping sound subwoofer in HK sound syste,

I don't know if there was a post about this before but do any of you guyz have a problem with the subwoofer in the HK system. It sounds like a the speaker is blown. Did any of you guyz see the dealer about this problem. If you did can you please give me some information to fix it or any suggestions.

I have the same issue in my E500. It only seems to happen with certain bass notes, otherwise it's crystal clear. I've turned down my bass, but now I don't feel like I'm getting full use of my HK system.
Anyone have any ideas?

The drivers in those systems are made of toilet paper!

You are overdriving the woofer such that the voice coil is lifting out of the magnetic field.

That is the popping you are hearing.

Keep that up and you'll burn out the voice coil and toast the driver.

You need better quality drivers and amplifiers, and you would hear a world of difference.

What would you reccommend as far as an amp without screwing around with the head unit and speakers
