I own a 2003 E320 Sport with OEM AMG 18"s

Love the car, like most out here are disappointed with the accereleration, but impressed with everything from styling, suspension, adjusted to the "tow" and have let go of trying to Drive the car like a BMW. Having owned both they are 2 different animals, and I am oddly Mercedes Benz Loyal and bought my wife an ML 500.

So, gonna stick with the E320, thought I would save a buck now that I am 30 with a 7 month old I adore and one on the way. A Stockbroker from NY, Surprise surprise, I love the luxuary over BMW, the overall ride is superior, but after dring the M Benz 500 engine on my wife ML each weekend, it make the monday morning commute that much less enjoyable.

Anyone know of modifications, that are not of the circa 1990 Mustang "chips". The Benz is a fiber-optic, mechanic wonder. The car decides how to brake and really steals some of the ride, but on the flip appreciate there amazing stoping power when needed. WHY DOES THE CAR NO ALLOW YOU TO DISENGAGE TRACTION CONTROL FULLY! Again, a converted BMW loyalist, but are they kidding. It is an america's favorites pastime to light 'em up and RECENTLY FINALLY FINNISHED READING WAR AND PEACE WHEN A STOP LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I FLOORED THE CAR!

So what to do? Ideas..... Here are mine.
All Ready lightend the load by buying the OEM AMG 18" rims which are incredably better suited for aggressive driving and let you feel the road a little bit, through the over wired and shock absobing steering wheel.
SPEED WISE Considering finding some high end guy who could adjust with/out screwing the intricated display of functionall, cool to show your friends, but never the less idiot lights, DO I NEED TO KNOW THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID IS LOW VS. MY TACH OR SPEDOMETER. ALL this sport and classy line and true ingenious enginering and superior quailty, then they go a head and even using the "TIPTRONIC" only helps on the highways, passing or drafting heavy on a service windy road in 2nd at 60 tracing racing lines with ease, and torque that is neck gerking. BUT AGAIN at that next light your painfully remind, HEY A**Hole your thirty, married with children, stop chiring your tires and now there is no backflow of anysort unless forced to blow 6500 and creating an over ride shift.
I WANT THE "Brains" switch from 25 mpg to 12, but give me the extra 30 hp. I want the traction control off, when pushed not just slighly more off the completly on, it's my perogative, I want the tip-tronic to let me blow my engine if I forget to shift out of 2nd. Should be paying attention. I do not have the same requirement in a car as the 65 year old down the block who spends 70K + on a car and then cares about it fuel economy and ease of power steering and so on. HELP.. Anybody, find it a similar experience with the E. 29 more months, E500 minimally, but eying the sl 6 or cl6 or 65 amg. Enjoy the pics.

That is a sweet ride, but it will be cheaper and more reliable if you trade you 320 in for a 500 if you want to upgrade in performance.
