Mass Produced Stainless Steel X-pipe ....

hey guys,

I just had a great idea. Would anyone be interested in a mass produces high quality stainless steel X-pipe center pipe for our cars that is 100% bolt on and would cost under $250? One of my contacts is a stainless steel exhaust manufacturer and if i sent him my stock center peice i bet he could fab something up real nice. what you guys think?

here is a picture sample of what the X-pipe would look like... (these are the from BMW 3-series long-tube headers i help bring to the market, the quality would be just as good as these and there is lifetime warranty on the welds).



I need an idea of how many would be interested b/c i would need some decent demand in order to go through the trouble of mass producing something on this (like 50+ units).

The only difference bet E430 & E55 exhaust system are the manifold & the muffler.

gotcha, well would you buy something like this for $199-249? (thats probably the lowest i could make something like this on a large scale).

It all depends on how much HP gains it will provide, any update on your set-up?

well what i was thinking of doing was doing a prototype from scratch, then send my stock unit off to the manufacturer to do a high flow version.

yes, trying to see if the demand is there. making i won't be an issues, they could be on the market by spring time, i just need to know if its even worth while u know.
