20% 3M metallic tint installed :)

hey guys,

Been busy the past few days as you can see. I got the 20% 3M metallic tint (a set up from other cheap tints). it comes with lifetime warranty and I paid roughly $180 installed after tax, labor and etc. As you can see its a great quality tint and its the perfect tint level to me. Limo tint is 5% and legal is 35% which honestly i had on my W140 and it barely did anything. To me 20% is the best level but i'll let yall be the judge. here are the pics.

Did you have The moleskin inserts so that the tint wouldn't scratch?

Others who had the tinting done, noticed that after awhile the film would srcatch when you open and close the windows over time. Many had the moleskin inserts installed to eliminate the problem. If you didn't get it done, you may want to contact your installer.

naw 3M tint is the strongest tint out there. i've had 3 of them, not a single glitch ever, but yes normal tints have very poor longevity.

tintprotector.com is having a group buy on their moleskin! It will keep your window tint from scratching.

They have a Mercedes kit.

Go here to buy.

You will start to see small streaks in your tint. They will get larger and larger until you have major scratches.

The Moleskin stops that from happening.

Most tint shops warranty their tint for life. You can get it re-tinted for free then add the moleskin to stop it from happening again.

hey guys... still no scratches, I went with 3Ms higher end tint (its much thicker and more durable), but if you have cheap tints (which is a big no no) but if so that mole skin may be a good idea.
