So after removing my belt, decided to check all the pulleys... here are two videos... Now what blows my mind is why would the tensioner pulley make that noise at 101k? It's the updated version. And both of them spin freely. The tensioner has maybe half a millimeter of play. I'd tighten it, but don't know the torque spec since it's the updated tensioner. Could it be possible someone tried taking the belt off using the tamper proof torx bolt?
If it's the Updated version" but the China knockoff - not Litens - then tensioner could be going again. The China made tensioners are sh*t.. A OE Litens is like $120 on the internet and a 20 minute job to put your worries behind you

Thank you Fab! I just checked and it seems the litens version is plastic whereas mine isn't yet is the updated design. I bought the car with that, interesting to see what kind of tensioner it is... Perhaps the reason mine is failing so soon is from heat issues. I shall buy the Litens unit! And a new idler pulley for preventative maintenance.
Do some reading on that idler pulley install... that bolt goes on forever when you go to pull it out, requires loosening up or removing the fan... !
Regarding removal of that extremely long bolt, I also was challenged. But after struggling with how to remove the fan, I came up with another idea. Using a Dremel tool, I removed just enough of the plastic fan blade, near the hub, to ease the bolt out. After replacing, I removed 1/2 the amount from the two blades on the opposite side. I don't think I could be but a couple of grams out of balance, if that. BTW, I used a semi-circle shape cut-out, eased the corners, no notching.
Unless there's an easy way of removing the fan, this is the fastest, easiest way that I could see.
So after looking at all the tensioner pulleys available on the market, I believe the one on my car is made by Trucktec... It's a metal pulley with the hex bolt to relieve tension. Don't know much about the brand but I have a Litens unit on the way with an INA idler pulley as well. Anyone know if the fan comes off for the tensioner pulley removal as well? I looked at it and I think I can do it without removing the fan, as for the idler pulley... I'm going to remove two of the allen bolts holding the plastic fan to the clutch, and swivel the third to the point where I can maneuver the fan to remove the bolt.
Thank you to everyone for the suggestions! Does anyone know the torque specs on the bolts? If I remember correctly the tensioner bolts are 25 nm. Don't know the idler pulley bolt torque spec though... And it's a T50 Torx socket that's needed if I'm correct?
Maybe I misunderstood - your tensioner comes with a new wheel/pulley, then you have your idler pulley - the rest of the junk turning/running the belt are mechanical stuff.

You are correct, leave the last bolt in but loosen it and swivel the fan out of the way or just take the whole thing off via the large nut.

What would everyone's preference be on the size of the torque wrench for these bolts? 3/8 or 1/4 drive? I'm leaning towards the 3/8 but at 25 nm that's roughly on the lower end of the torque wrench.
