Buying 2001 E55 - price - Benzworld.org

I'm getting folowing MB 2001 with 67K miles in siposably immaculate conditionon, MAF, front struts and breaks were all recently changed, and a 100K waranty comes with car. Car is 100% stock and appears to be very mildly driven.
Options on the car:
BOSE Premium 6 Disc Sound System
Designo Two-Tone Leather Package
Park Distance
Navigation
Heated / Cooled AND Vented Seats
Xenon Headlights

Best price I could get on it is $19K, is it a good price?
What should I be looking for then I inspect that car?

IMO, $19,000 is a fair price but some of what you call options were standard equipment. Unless you are confident in your own abilities, I'd advise you to have a MB dealer do a PPI (pre-purchase inspection). Also talk with the dealer who has serviced the car during the 50K new car warranty period and hopefully afterwards. 100K warranty might be valuable or worthless depending on what warranty it is. If it is a MB CPO, then no worries.

Waranty is transferable Bumper-to-Bumper 100,000 mile UNLIMITED year from AA Auto Warranty - not shure fow bad it is but defenitly not as good as MB

Dealler who serviced it is probably on Boston - car is in CT. For PPI - just go to any MB dealer? How expencive it typicaly is?

As far as options goes - Heated sits are standart but cooled are not. Nav and 6 discs were an options as I recall but Xeon were standart of course

BTW - this will be my seconf E55 from the same year - unfortunatly my first one was lost after only 5 month

I think it will cost about $200. It is not a guarantee that the car is perfect, but that is what I would do. Call the dealer you think serviced the car in Boston to see what they will tell you. There is also something called the VMI (vehicle master inquiry) that any dealer can access via the MB computer system. That will tell you quite a bit regarding the previous repair issues the car has had. The only problem there is some dealers cite some "privacy act" and they will not share that info with you.
