$290 is for AMG 2-pieces rotors and the one he got is an aftermarket one piece rotors.

You get what you paid for

The AMG rotors for the 210 E55 are one piece.

From an old road test review....

"Two-piston calipers are mated to huge 13.2-inch two-piece rotors which float on steel pins, reducing heat transfer to the hubs, bearings and suspension parts."

They look like one piece but are actually two as explained above.

UPDATE!!

I recieved my credit card bill in they did in fact charge me $290.00 each front rotor! They claimed that there was a catalog error. I had it out with the supervisor on the phone and they reluctantly charged back the difference. "If it's too good to be true...". I got lucky, I would not reccomend anyone else try thier luck with these clowns. The catalog error still has not been corrected. You can still see them listed on E-bay for $29.00. Sorry for the bogus post.

Yes, I see what they are talking about. That's pretty cool. I never noticed.

Just one of many little unique AMG touches! Too bad we can't take advantage of all the built in engineering on US roads. Gotta love these machines!
