I wasn't really to interested in going aftermarket with my air filters as I understand the gains are minimal if any. But a 25% discount, and the fact that it is time to replace them, what the heck! Just thought I'd spread the word. Got both of them for my 2001 E55 $90.00 out the door! Not bad.
Total price was $86.66. Thats tax and all. Also, if anyone has any feedback to add about the pros and cons of using K&N Filters, feel free to chime in. Thanks, Brian

Why do you say that? Is it a common problem when switching to K&Ns? You got me scared now, don't leave me hangin' Bro! Hold me!!! Just kidding, What's the deal with me needing a new MAF? Brian

I would say 99% of the time the K&N oil will mess up your MAF sensor, the other 1% the MAF sensor just crap out for no reason. Just to be on the safe side just use the OEM paper filter. I have a spare MAF just incase my fail.
Yep. That true. I have a bubby that works on mercedes and he says that K&M in a mercedes is bad news.
I guess it's good I got the k& "N" then. Just kidding, I like it very well so far. It just seems like my motor is just a little more "effortless". No odd idle, no hesitation or reluctance of any sort. Plus I called K&N and they said that these filters were designed specifically for each individual car. If a problem should arise as a result of the filter, that they would stand behind thier product 100%. So whats the big deal?
