I've had mine (wavy kind) in for over a year and not one problem or issue. Just make sure to use silicone along the seam (where the lens and the shell connect) before you install them and youre in business. Mine came with capacitors and I've never had "lamp out" message trouble from them. Some folks complain about diminished light output (they arent as bright as W211 OEM) but from directly behind (where most cars are when brake lights matter most) there is plenty of light (plus the third brake light & what more do you need?). Install time was about 45 minutes to an hour but I was anal about proper fitment (getting them lined up perfectly w/ the body) and took my time. Most non-MB folks think its OEM and probably dont even notice the difference.
Heres an old night pic of mine from my weak camera phone but there are plenty of other pics on the forum to view.
I have the "wave" style LED tails (but not the smoked version). Mine were made by eagle eyes. I have had them on the car for almost 2 years with zero problems or lamp warnings so far.
Sorry. Got mine off Ebay Hong Kong shortly after they started producing them.
+1
I got mine off eBay too (USA site).
There are a few there now both wavy and flat, clear and smoked. I would go for the seller with the best rating and of course ask plenty of questions. Dont forget the silicone! Good Luck!
