hi guys......im new to this forum and im hoping some1 on here can give me some much needed advice. Other forums have not been able to give much advice. ...... iv got a e55amg w210 estate 2001....the rear has self levelling....i need to lower the car but need to find out how to get the rear down.......?????firstly no1 does specfic springs for a estate... but i can get round that...iv got the number 1 pads...but the first thing is to figure out how to bring the rear down.... and advice will be grate....
Having owned a late model Lincoln Towncar with a self leveling rear end, I would imagine the lowering procedure would be similar. Remove and/or disconnect the self leveling apparatus, and apply the appropriate lowering springs, shocks, and pads (#1 R; #2 F?). Good luck.

I Installed H/R sport springs Front AND Rear on my W210 Estate as they do Not have a listing for the E55 Estate..as the Estate has Springs on the rear..just uses Self level Rear shocks So the E55 SEDAN Springs WILL Fit AND Work

ok...iv heard of people who heav put the sedan springs into the estate...and they work fine...the only difference is the weight,,,,,,,but iv have also heard even if you got the lowered springs in the rear the car still lifts to its self leveling height.......so how do you avoid that?????

If the front in lowered, then wouldn't that produce an equivalent lower height level at the rear? Also, should the latter not apply, is it possible that the self leveling component is adjustable?
well guess im going to have a look into...but every1 i have approached said dont touch it and leave the car as it is....lol....they make me laugt...i will get round it soon and post some pic of it when its completed
