A couple of months ago I got a navi installed in my 00 E55. But guess what? My car doesn’t have a VSS. So all this time I’ve been without a working navigational system. The guy who installed it told me I need a Can-Pulse device that translates analog Can-Bus into an after market head unit radio such as the one I had installed. Now my dilemma, which type of Can-Pulse should I buy? The one that reads the information from the engine Can-bus or the one that reads from the internal Can-bus? I went with another installer and he told I need an external Can-Pulse device because my car doesn’t come with an internal. I know there’s an interior Can-Bus because the factory radio volume changes as one drives faster. Unless otherwise?
