part throttle drivabiltiy issue

Hello guys,

I'm experiencing a weird issue with my e55 that I was hoping some of you guys could help me with. Whenever im driving at a slow speed around 8-10 mph or less(in a parking lot or bumper to bumper traffic), my car "jerks" back and forth. As soon as I give it a little more gas, it goes away. The jerk isn't that bad but it certainly is quite annoying. At first I thought the MAF sensor went bad so I replaced it with a brand new bosch unit and the same thing still happens. A friend of mine told me that Mercedes released a reflash fix of some sort to fix this issue but when I called my local dealer about it they had no idea what I was talking about Any ideas?

i would think possable motor or trans mounts, if not that maybe the trans is not upshifting or downshifting at the proper speeds. Those are my to suggestions hope that helps good luck.

you can always put the car in winter mode and it will do 2nd gear starts and no jerk. You maybe need to reflush tranny and put new filter & fluid in, alot of times that can get rid of jerks too.

My BMW did the same thing, After a month of chasing the issue, it was a bad fuel filter. It jerked like it was about to stall at low speeds

Thumbs down

thanks for all the suggestion guys

I will be replacing my motor mounts soon as well so hopefully it will make a noticable difference. Had my tranny fluid flushed and changed not too long at about 300 miles ago. The whole idea of driving the car in Winter mode slipped my mind, it does seem to drive a little smoother in winter mode.

I'll try replacing my fuel filter this weekend and see if that fixes it and i'll post an update.

Thanks again guys!
