Spacers Question help please

I recently bought from a member Ichiba 5mm spacers for my E55, my question is....while they are chamfered around the hub opening they dont have a lip like the H&Rs I used to have, BUT in the past I only used 10mm and above, could it be that they dont have a lip because they are too thin (5mm )? , does anyone know if the 5mm H&Rs have a lip or not? Spacers are not something I like to gamble with. Any comments are greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I had the same issue with Ichiba 5mm spacers. As it turned out, my aftermarket 35MM offset front rims fit (barely) without the spacers. I am assuming you have the same issue. Have you physically attempted to mount the wheel (rim and tire) without the spacer? You may be surprised. Also, there is the issue of compatible lug bolts. In my case, the OEM 12mm x 1.5 x 40mm (1.5") were non-compatible due to design (space between head and threading vs. threading beginning at the head of the lug bolt), and length (most aftermarkets require x30mm). Good luck.

Thank you for your input, yes I did try to fit the wheel/tire w/o spacers but with these particular wheels I have to use spacers at least in the rear, there was an ever so slight rubbing on the inside of the well...even with the 5mm I am still using longer bolts thats the proper way , so I ordered extra after market lug bolts that are longer, I think they are 30mm..actually I got two different length sets with the spacers.
By the way, I called H&R today and they also confirmed that their 5mm spacers also do not have a lip, so I guess Ichiba it is !
