ebay had some good x-pipes on hand. i forget where i bought mine.
do a search, find OmeyHomey's X-pipe thread, and it will give the links in there.
to answer your other question, the car def sounds better. a lot deeper, more throatier kinda. i actually made 300rwhp and 333rwtq with the mod. stock, my car should make 280rwhp ish...so the mod is def worth the money! everyone who has done to mod has not regretted it at all! it doesn't set off any codes either.
typical cost is about 40 to buy the x-pipe and 60-100 to install, depending on your local exhaust shop...

This is the only Magnaflow x-pipe that matches the others I've seen, is that the correct one?
in essence, its the same design. however, i would never pay 200 for a damn x-pipe piece... search omeys link, it will show you the ebay link. that x-pipe, was stainless steel and runs for ~$40. they all do the same thing!!! LOL...
i am even tempted to go to my mechanic and hack out the secondary cats to improve the flow and sound. the car is just too quiet for me... LOL... im used to open headers or blower whine with flow master 40s. now thats stinkin loud!!!

The Magnaflow X-Pipe is $70 on eBay.
So, here are two options:
-2.25" Magnaflow for $70
-2.50" eBay one for $40
I like idea of Magnaflow little betters since it's the same size as stock system and therefore should flow smoother. On the other hand, I read some posts on that thread and people say eBay one flows better.
I don't know, but getting bigger x-pipe than the piping itself is kind of pointless.

our stock piping is not 2.25". its actually like 2.38 or something... so the magnaflow one won't even work unless its flared. trust me, the few of us who have done it used the ebay one. the flow of the exhaust is the same in all of them, the x-pipes are all basically the same. we are not at a level where fow dynamics matter. we're only making in the 300rwhp range. if we got upto 2000hp range, then i'd say, yes, lets look at flow dynamics! LOL...
trust us here, read thru the thread omey listed, you'll have all your answers. there are vids and pics in there too.
The ebay X-pipe is actually better, its polished stainless steel instead of just aluminized, its cheaper, and the 2.5" is actually better b/c it makes the exhaust shops job easier they can easily shrink it back down to about 2.4 and weld it up. Go with the Ebay X-pipe (thats why i recommended it, b/c it was better than my magnaflow X.
