Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know that the dealers in the US are not the only ones with high prices.
A few weeks ago the primary cat on the right side of my 98 E55 started to rattle. I took the car to the dealer and they quoted me 370.000ISK (icelandic kronur) for a replacement for each side, not including labor. For those of you that don't know the exchange rate

that's 6.000USD for each side for a total of 12.000USD for replacing both cats.
So, right now the car is in a local exhaust repair shop getting universal cats welded in place. I also decided to have the secondary cats removed at the same time to get a nicer exhaust note. I'm picking the car up in about an hour, I'll let you know how it sounds
