Unhappy Scratched Trim

I managed to scratch the black birdseye maple ashtray door and am devastated with my stupitidy. The door had another scratch from the previous owner...was thinking of just buying a new door/lid so I wouldnt be reminded everyday of my stupidity. It appears to be just surface in the mirror finish - can it be buffed out? Anyone order/fix this before - part numbers or cost? Any help apprreciated - thanks.

I would begin with an application of auto paint scratch remover. Sometimes we get lucky, and viola it is gone. Good luck, and I feel your pain.

Try to use a Polishing Compound made by Tamiya (the model kit company). I managed to get rid of most scratches on my car. Good luck!

Cheers,
Adam
