As per my previous two posts, I am close to purchasing a 2000 E55. I have narrowed the search to a one owner vehicle with 60,000 miles. Dealer tells me they put new front brakes on it (including discs) and rear pads (no discs) and new tires, but unsure what brand yet for either brakes or tires.
My question is what else do I want to look for in a car with this mileage? What might I be facing as scheduled maintenance immediately or in the near future? I'm not so worried about the standard oil, transmission fluid, spark plugs, etc, but what about timing chains/belts, cat converters, suspension components, etc.
Any major service I should be prepared for as indicated by MB-AMG? When is Service B due?
I have asked the usual questions learned from this board such as rust, MAF and transmission issues, and there was no concern from the dealer - naturally. Carfax checks out as a one owner car and pictures I've been forwarded by the dealer show a clean, well kept car. But looks can be deceiving too?
Any further information would be appreciated and thanks for all the help you have all provided to this point. I am anxious to see it next week. Anxious to see it in my garage!

Ask the dealer what brand they put.

For 60K you need to check the owners manual or ask your dealer.

Again ask for the service history maintenance record it should indicate when the next/type service due. For 60K you need to change the AT Fluid/transmission service, belt needs to be replace, suspension components such as shocks, spring..etc needs be check.

You need to test drive the car and use your judgement if the car is worth it. And ask them about extended warranty.
